I could never have imagined that my experience as an intern at Nielsen would be so meaningful to me. It has, by far, been the best place for self-development and improvement.

The Finance track of our Emerging Leaders Program is dedicated to developing and investing in our next generation of finance leaders. Through this two-year program, you’ll gain exposure to a number of corporate finance responsibilities at both the corporate and business-unit level, including financial planning and analysis, investment decision-making, controllership, risk management, and treasury operations, among others. The program’s structure combines challenging coursework on financial topics, professional development and hands-on work experience.
Emerging Leaders in our Finance track have several rotation options. Here are examples of opportunities you’ll find with each team:
- Emerging Markets Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team: Manage the consolidation of the weekly tracker used in corporate pulse reporting, conduct all group expense and forecasting analysis, prepare and consolidate monthly and quarterly financial reporting and provide support to the client service and finance teams through ad-hoc work.
- Africa and Middle East FP&A team: Take responsibility for commercial costs analysis and forecasting, manage the headcount for tracking and approval process between finance and HR, and provide support to the client service and finance teams through ad-hoc work.
With this program, you can experience different areas of finance, as well as different teams within Nielsen. Rotations begin in Dubai. International opportunities are common but not guaranteed. Participants are expected to be open and flexible. Following the program, participants often explore opportunities with our Corporate Audit Staff or Senior Analyst roles within the business.
My experience at Nielsen has been second to none. I’ve had the opportunity to work on projects that have value. Throughout this process, I have grown professionally and been exposed to some amazing leaders from all over the globe. Nielsen is truly one of the best companies to work for!
