ROLE:

 

Account Executives represent Gracenote’s product offerings to Tier 3 customers worldwide. The Account Executive must have a complete and thorough understanding of Gracenote’s business, products and services, and be able to formulate winning value propositions to its clients and prospects. The ability to understand and discuss a wide range of business strategies is required, as is having credible and persuasive engagement at all levels of a client organization.  

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Qualify prospects and conduct needs analysis, establish buying influences, budgets, purchasing criteria and timeframes, and drive the prospect through the sales pipeline to closure.

  • Identify areas to upsell/cross-sell, renegotiate contract renewals and rate increases where appropriate.

  • Maintain a healthy sales pipeline to ensure quarterly and yearly sales objectives are consistently achieved or exceeded.

  • Support operations in the service of existing clients as requested.

  • Effectively and simultaneously manage multiple opportunities at various stages of the sales cycle.

  • Maintain Gracenote commercial documents and client information databases.

  • Salesforce – Input new accounts and Opportunities, BMFs for billing, logging calls/emails/meetings/updating contacts, creating cases to implement new product start-ups.

  • Respond to client emails, working with Ops and Dev teams to troubleshoot and resolve any issues (feed failures etc.), and work with legal team to update contracts.

  • Study and keep up to date with industry developments. Ensure a good working knowledge of the local market and clients

  • Identify potential clients and sales opportunities, contacting new prospects, prepare presentations, present to clients

  • Attend internal online training sessions and finance calls

  • Various Admin and other tasks in support of sales & operations.

 

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

  • Must be an expert in communicating effectively and authoritatively.

  • Must be a self-driven and be capable of working independently.

  • Must possess an unbridled passion for, and understanding of, the up-to-the-minute trends that are driving the digital media consumer experience.

  • Experience in educating and selling into customer’s organization and have the ability to navigate to reach and influence key decision makers.

  • Adept at effectively negotiating and bring to closure contracts.

  • Must be enthusiastic about selling Gracenote products and services in addition to a personal passion for the media industry.

  • Experience using Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and Google Suite (Sheets, Slides, Docs).

  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.

  • A motivated self-starter with proven ability to prioritize workload and exercise sound judgement.

  • Experience working with salesforce.com seen as a plus.
