ABOUT THIS JOB 

Global Track is a commercial business unit within Nielsen which aims to unlock Nielsen's potential across technology, data content and data processes to better deliver against our clients’ above market needs and build on our competitive advantage. The Global Track Team provides state of the art tools, applications and processes designed to efficiently extract insight from single and multiple data sources and create actionable information for use across markets. The Global Track team of Client Development Managers will drive the high demand for above market reporting and Global Performance Management solutions through our Global Track suite of services.
 
The Global Services Global Track team is currently looking for a Regional Account Manager to further develop the growing demand of our portfolio of solutions. 

This new role will be based in the European region and will report to a GT Accounts Director.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Working with  various top international and regional HQ clients  based in Europe to support their new and on-going “above market” reporting/harmonization and technology requirements.
  • Driving engagement with clients to promote Business Intelligence solutions and manage account activities to drive client value.
  • Identifies opportunities for Nielsen to sell new Global Track services to a broad range of existing clients / prospects.
  • Drive the sales process of existing and new projects on the allocated accounts.
  • Uses Salesforce.com on a daily basis and pro-actively responds to opportunities.
  • Lead GTC forecasting for designated countries or regions.
  • Demonstrate Nielsen’s new Web and Mobile Business Intelligence tools
  • Provide superior customer service and maintain high client satisfaction
  • Achieve / exceed sales objectives and targets through leveraging the Global Track Suite portfolio
  • Works closely with International client teams and local commercial departments to encourage and help them to sell Global Track services to their clients
  • A diverse, exciting job that enables you to build knowledge of the international FMCG-industry, develop knowledge on our new exciting portfolio of services and work in an international environment with internal and client contacts from all over the world.
     

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Business a business-related subject.
  • Experience from working within FMCG (from a sales, marketing or purchase function) – preferred
  • Proven negotiation and consultative sales skills. 
  • Has a proactive positive attitude and an enthusiastic mindset.
  • Curiosity is a highly valued skill.
  • Builds deep client relationships and is viewed as a trusted advisor. 
  • Strong business and financial acumen.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Capable of working as part of a diverse international team within a fast-paced, challenging and demanding environment whilst maintaining high standards.
  • Able to act independently in a matrix organization with good interpersonal and communication skills, very driven and results orientated.
  • Experience from working with Nielsen’s software and industry BI tools is an advantage (Answers Desktop, Insight Studio, Microstrategy, Tableau, etc… ).
  • Fluent in English (verbal and written), German (language is ideal – not a must) and any other EU languages are an advantage.
